In 2015, Oslo Badstuforening had only one floating sauna. Six years later, with four saunas, the dock recall a small floating village. Yet, some facilities were missing: boxes to tidy up, a trash with collective sorting, greenery, and a shower – in a coherent design. We suggested the smallest intervention possible, with flexible and moveable furnitures as the future of the saunas is unknown.
The core element is a shower, that was designed as a totem/tower, that can be used differently at every seasons and events. At Christmas it becomes a tree, for 17th of Mai of the Gay pride it is a flag pole, for midsommer it becomes a Midsommarsstången, and for Halloween a spooky tower.
